dehbuff As Kulga says, that can be (and probably should be) done using .htaccess authentication.

And as he noted in his previous post, this "feature" is already well provided for by the permissions system that's already in place. So I'm not really seeing a purpose to this thread.

farid, please read the FAQ and search existing discussions to learn more about Flarum's capabilities before posting a feature request. If, after doing these things, you still feel that Flarum is missing an important feature that you might need, then take some time to explain exactly what you want and why you think it would be a good idea.

You'll find some helpful hints for effective posting in the Guidelines.

There's many ways to do exactly that within the scope of the forum and of the webserver itself.

For flarum, make it so signup isn't allowed and manually add users (which isn't possible yet) and set permissions so members can see the forum - no one else.

Webserver side, keep it within the internal network.. there are plenty of guides for this for any webserver.

I think it's a good idea to implement the option to protect flarum with a password, completely.

To prevent access to flarum at all unless you have a password... directories protected by a password are very easy and very configurable - regardless of its contents.

But if you insist on using the forum itself, there is a option called View discussions which defaults to everyone. Change that to members (or any other group/s) and all discussions are in fact invisible unless you have a account.
