I just realised that i need to follow a thread manually when i joined the discussion in it or created the thread.
In my opinion flarum core (extension) should have at least three settings that configure when a user auto-follows a thread:
- Never
- When thread created (being OP)
- When thread created or answered to somebody else's thread
And from my experience it would make sense to have the second option as default setting. My personal favourite would be the third option.
In a support forum with less technical people users sometimes recreate their thread because they can't find their first support thread. This is a problem with the placements of the subscriptions link as the software does auto-subscribe to own threads, but flarum would have a similar problem because there is no auto-follow/subscription.
(If i am mistaken with available options or behaviour of Flarum please correct me.)
