Remove and Rename Slugs

Is there a way to remove slugs like "/d/", "/u/", "/p/", etc. For example in my opinion it would be easier for users to have their profile URL without the "/u/" slug, like from "example.com/u/mike" to "example.com/mike... same with the other slugs.

Also is there a way to translate slugs like "/discussions", "/mentions", etc. in other languages since a lot of us use or will use Flarum in non-english?

Most important can all this be done without affecting the changes when updating Flarum?

Unfortunately you can't change anything and expect it to work until stable without modifications for now.

While it's probably possible to remove the prefix, it introduces some complications in both the front-end and the back-end when routing urls. And you will only be able to place one resource at the root (can't have both user and discussions without prefixes without serious added complexity).

Replacing/translating the urls should be one of the easiest things to do, but I think it can be a bit tricky as some of these are hard-coded in various places in Flarum's code. Also it's more simple for the routing if there's a single canonical url for a given page.
