Bbpress to Flarum migration?

Flarum newbie here.

I'd like to migrate my bbpress Wordpress forum to a more modern platform. After installing Flarum, this looks like the best option.

Has anyone ever migrated a bbpress based forum to Flarum? I've been looking around for an exporter/importer, but no luck so far. No luck regarding a bbpress -> phpBB exporter either. Then again, I'm far from an expert, so I might be missing something.

Any help would be welcomed!

I guess the best option is to wait until the stable release, then go the bbpress->discourse->Flarum route?

I've not heard of anybody doing a bbpress migration yet. Of course you could do a jump between platforms until you reach Flarum if you find the appropriate exporters.

@clarkwinkelmann, that sounds great, thanks. I guess it will be safest to wait until the stable release for the data migration?

I'd also be interested in some custom development for Flarum. My forum does monthly shader challenges and it would be great if a post could be visually tagged as the "winner". Is this in the realm of possibilities?

zeno there's already a "best answer" extension that does kind of that. You could replace some of the text via another extension like Flagrow Linguist or fork the extension.

Regarding whether it's safe to migrate to Flarum now, I can't give you a definite answer, you have to choose for yourself whether you feel comfortable using the current version of Flarum. The data migration I do is extensive (with what Flarum supports) and you can then use all the features that Flarum has right now with your existing data ?
