Can't install ["something went wrong: undefined"]

Hello,

Trying to install and run into a few issues, but the latest one is simply "undefined," giving me no way to troubleshoot. I've gone through some of the basics; my database information is all correct, .htaccess writeable...are there any other basic things I can do / anywhere I can find out more about what the actual error might be?

My SSL certificate recently expired and I'm waiting for that to come back to life - could that cause issues?

Could be. Try setting up the forum without ssl. Once the certificate is back just update the configuration file and your vhost.

Thanks for the reply Ghost_chu . The config.php file doesn’t even get created. I receive the undefined error during the first very step of installation.

Though now a config.php file has been created, however, the forum just shows a blank page...

The trace explains you have not installed yet. Try running php flarum install.

I am running PHP5.6 though. So I then install using --ignore-program-reqs which installs ok but gives me the errors from the opening post.

Edit: having checked with my host, the command line version of PHP is showing as 5.4.42. Is there anyway to spoof that? The host said nothing they could do for that.

This has been a great learning experience for me and I think I've just about got things solved. Hopefully this thread can help someone else navigate similar issues. I was able to update the PHP version the command line sees by adding this to me .bash_profile file:

export PATH=/usr/local/php56/bin:$PATH

Now it appears to be installed ok.
