Language Translation

Hi everyone!

I want to translate Flarum into the my own language. I did not see a documentation for that. Who can help?

We don't have much documentation on that indeed. I believe there were a few topics on this forum to explain the process.

The best way to understand is to have a look at existing translations. https://github.com/flarum/flarum-ext-english is the base english extension and https://github.com/milescellar/flarum-ext-french is a French translation extension for example.

Translations are Flarum extensions, so the developer guide in the dev section will help you get setup if you want to test your translations on a local Flarum install ?

Thanks for your explanation and reply. Is there an official document for the translations? Because I don't know how to translate.

highcoder you mean the original files? You could theoraticly copy any existing language pack and start from there.

The best would be to translate from English (the files are on GitHub in a separate repository of the Flarum org or you can find them in the vendor folder) as it is the only official language of Flarum.
