Settings not being saved

Hey!

I have an issue with my Flarum installation. Unfortunately, many of the settings are not saving for some reason.

In Basic settings when I change the "Show Language Switch" toggle I get a notification that everything went fine but after refreshing it is turned back to where it was.
In the Theming settings when I change the colors or the "Dark theme" toggle - everything successfully saves and after refresh the option is in the right state. But unfortunately it doesn't affect the website (colors are all the time the same).

What I've tried already:
- clearing my browsers cache
- using incognito mode
- clearing flarum's cache
- searching through logs (no errors there)

Any ideas what's going on?

sarneeh settings like these are saved into the database. From my experience the only cause I can think of is a full disk ? but that might be very odd. Anything in storage/logs/flarum.log that relates to the database or settings?

Oh, didn't know there are separate logs for Flarum. Unfortunately these actions don't trigger any errors. I see only one error that was there already and that seems not related:

Also - my server's disk isn't even near to full (still about 20 gigs free) ?

Glombersik Please read what someone wrote before answering ? I've mentioned already, that I've cleared my browser cache.

sarneeh NotFoundExceptions are irrelevant.. Can you check whether the changes you submit, eg about the design are actually persisted in the database? That way we can start identifying whether this is a frontend or backend issue.

Also please post your server php and db version.

Okay, I didn't know that 7.2 is not backward compatible to 7.1 and there were so much changes out there.

Unfortunately, after reinstalling my Flarum on PHP 7.1 the issue still persists.

The settings are actually being properly saved in the database ?

Also, I've just noticed that my PHP version is not compatible ? Is that a big problem?

PHP: 7.2.5
DB: MariaDB 10.1.26

There are a few things that you will need to have set up in order to run Flarum:

A web server: Apache (with mod_rewrite), Nginx, or Lighttpd
PHP 5.6 up to 7.1 (not 7.2) with the following extensions: mbstring, pdo_mysql, openssl, json, gd, dom, fileinfo
MySQL 5.5+
SSH (command-line) access
Alternatively, you can use a third party Flarum service such as Free Flarum (not affiliated with flarum.org).

@sarneeh look here http://flarum.org/docs/installation/ I recommend checking the documentation before installation. Not only with flarum ?

Glombersik Well, I'm not dumb ? I did it on purpose to experiment and find out why it won't work on PHP 7.2, as this is just a minor version change versus 7.1 (which should not have breaking changes according to https://semver.org/).

@luceos Kill me again. It was CloudFlare's cache again. Oh my god ? Can be closed. I'm sorry for taking the time, seems that I really might be a little bit dumb ?

Btw. does it mean that PHP 7.2 works pretty well with Flarum?
