Removing Email Validation

Is there anyway to remove email validation requirement at the moment - so my users can visit the beta forum?

Huh? Why? Valid emails should come through. Which emails are not accepted?

Thanks Franz for the reply. The emails ended up coming in to our company's spam mail box. We would love the idea if there is an option to toggle manual user verification instead via email as what has been offered in many other forum softwares.

We think Flarum can be of huge potential to function as our internal company community rather than public. I just want to let you know that superb forum software like Flarum apparently can be customized to suit many other functions - including project management (We're trying Flarum and it's working great at the moment).

Netsoft this is probably caused by incorrect (or missing) SPF records. This has nothing to do with Flarum.

For your own information, most e-mail providers will scan the SPF record of the sender e-mail address domain for servers that are allowed to send e-mail on behalf of that domain. If the server is not in that SPF record the mail will be marked for spam or even bounced depending on the flag in the SPF record (~all vs ?all etc).

Thanks luceos for your explanation regarding the SPF. Yes, we just set up a temporary digital ocean droplet and deploy Flarum. There was no domain associated with the droplet - hence the missing SPF records.

Netsoft This has nothing to do with the domain of your server. It has to do with the sender e-mail address configured in Flarum. For instance if I would create a droplet now with a Flarum installation and use info@netsoft.com as the sender, the DNS SPF record for netsoft.com must allow the IP of the droplet to send e-mail, for instance:

netsoft.com. TXT "v=spf1 a mx ipv4:<droplet_ip> ~all"

In this example I used ~ which is a softfail, a minus - is a hard fail.
