luceos MathieuM I guess your webhosting provider is limiting the allowance of memory for your cli php to 512M; you could ask them for help. I see no alternative here; with such strict limitations on your account having composer makes no sense.
MathieuM luceos Well, I sent a mail to my webhosting provider and they found a solution : After some search, we found Composer had some memory problems with old PHP versions. We recommand you to use the command: php -d memory_limit=2048M composer.phar <...> and it works! ? My question is: why do I need to specify the memory_limit? Is there a reason or maybe I need to update my Composer? Thx!
luceos MathieuM why do I need to specify the memory_limit? because your hosting provider is unable to make the value configurable on older php versions.. Nothing wrong with composer, you or flarum ?
MathieuM luceos Ok, thanks a lot for all your answers, but it's a little disturbing ? lorem See previous posts, I've not a php.ini file, but my hosting provider gives tools in my panel administration and I've already change my memory_limit to 2048M ?
Maltazard Here is a solution which works for me. sudo /bin/dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/swap.1 bs=1M count=1024 sudo /sbin/mkswap /var/swap.1 sudo /sbin/swapon /var/swap.1
