WordPress + Flarum User Database Integration

My topic's title pretty much says it but I will still explain what I am trying to do here. I have a WordPress site with about 200 subscribers (users). I want to integrate those users with my Flarum userbase.

The scenario: Say I have a WordPress site at www.example.com and Flarum forums are on the same domain name but are installed and located at www.example.com/forums in a separate folder.

What I want to achieve:

If a user logs in to the WordPress site, then he/she gets logged in on Flarum forums too.
Also have a common user profile area for both WordPress and Flarum, where updating one should update the other automatically.

So if you are an experienced dev, kindly advice me on how should I proceed with this?! Many thanks.

Is it selfhosted wordpress.org? Are the subscriptions handled by Automattic's Jetpack plug-in?

Would it be all right to just integrate the commenting function with the forum log-in? If so, I would expect a wordpress.org plug-in that makes use of the Social Log-in extension that is being developed for Flarum by the staff.

I too am interested in a similar feature, but it doesn't have to be a wordpress integration. I'm interested in having the ability to use an existing user database and add flarum as an extension, so to speak, to my existing site, but only have a single log in process. Once the user is logged in to my site, they can freely use the forums like they can the rest of the site.

I'm not planning an MVP that includes forums, so I have some time, but I would like to have this sooner rather than later.
