Please help with moving the forum from one folder to another.

I'd like to move the site from a subfolder to root folder on a domain.
I changed the url in config.php but it doesn't seem to be enough.
Perhaps a database edit is required too?

When you say "it doesn't seem to be enough" what exactly does that mean? Please check the troubleshooting guide and provide more concrete information about (1) what you've done, and (2) what issues you are experiencing.

Without specific information, we can't advise you!

I moved the site from one location to another. I changed the URL in config.php
The main site would load but after clicking on a thread or tag I would get red "unknown error" in bottom left of the screen.

I found the mistake: the url had an unnecessary "/" at the end. It must not be there! 🙂
