Twitter Sign In Extension 500 Error

I haven’t had many issues with Flarum so far. I’ve activated multiple extensions all with little to no issues. But then I go to add the Twitter login extension and when I click the Twitter button to log in, I get a 500 server error.

Has anyone experienced this?

It’s weird because clicking that button should just redirect to Twitter’s api url. But the server doesn’t like something about it. I searched the forum here and someone got a 500 error with the Facebook extension at one point. But, I haven’t found anyone saying this about the Twitter extension.

010101 Yossi1114 Could you try again with debug mode enabled or search your log files for the detailed error message / error trace ? There's no way to help you without more details ?

I figured it out. In the Twitter app settings, even though Twitter's instructions say the callback URL is optional, you need a callback URL. And, not just any callback URL, it must be: https://yourdomain.com/auth/twitter

Maybe once Flarum is stable these instructions should be inside of the Twitter auth extension settings?
