Could you provide a little sketch of how you think these badges could be arranged instead?
A convincing idea might be a valuable input into this discussion, even though we should not expect timely solutions from the core developers. At the time being, getting out a stable software foundation for Flarum is more important than suiting tons of badges.
BTW: Your display error was observed here before but wasn't considered a real-world scenario.
