Extension idea. Wiki. Someone can create a new discussion, select a wiki checkbox next to the submit post button, and then any member can edit the original post. But, the original poster could reject the changes.

To keep it simple and to save space, no need to list or view revisions. Instead, the post cannot be edited again until the original poster accepts or rejects the changes. Just one pending revision at a time.

So, not a full featured wiki, just the ability for members to somewhat collaborate.

010101 That's a great idea. Full wiki functionality would be hard. And even the 'accept or reject these changes' is not trivial, but that's a pretty good idea to get it to work. Additional features would be having a blacklist or whitelist of user groups who can suggest edits and a whitelist for groups, like mods and admins, who can accept changes if the user account is abandoned.

ShawnPConroy At least to start it could be simply set up so that if you check off wiki when posting, it sets the permissions for that post so that any member or any member in a particular group, can edit the post. In other words, omit the accept or reject feature at first. But, maybe at least add “username edited this.”

And I guess you can somewhat already do this by setting up more groups and setting the permissions. But, this is more on a per post basis.
