When you want to delet a post made by someone who is also the thread starter... What part of delete does you programming team not understand?
A delet on a thread starter should remove the post, instaed the post only gets deleted, you are then left hunting around to various menus to delet the thread and also suspend the user THAT SHOULD BE DONE IN AS SIMPLE AS ONE CLICK.....]
Unfortunately I have to suffer this forum software as a moderator and can say that moderation of flarum is a joke. You have removed all the important stuff in combating spam.
There is no way of investigating a user via their IP or part IP address. Under other forum software, this feature is invaluable and the forum used to use a piece of software like that and I was able to take down hundreds of posts that were spam from spammers with multiple accounts and one I discovered was managing to circumvent the spam filter and had been spamming on the forum for the best part of 7 years.
IDK how many moderators or admins actually went in to dealing with spammers, it was a valuable tool that your software does not offer the moderator, as well as that you are forcing people in to using a mobile derived site laytout that is utterly horrid in its entire concept and I am truly sick of that stupid pop out bar at the side that doesn't stay when you anchor it.
There are other issues, like for 5 months now, there has been a bug in flarum that I have reported via the site owners that in 3 months has not been addressed.
The issue is in the notification, a deleted user with no posts is stuck alerting me in my notification that there is this post waiting to be approved.
Markdown fails regularly.
Posts with great regularity don't go through I can wait and wait and navigate on other pages on the site and nothing and the post doesn't show up when viewed via another tab (shows that the browser is working and the problem is the site) that when I try to navigate from that tab thats still trying to post, it advises that the post hasn't been made and I will lose it. Yes rightly so, I will lose it. Definitely a piece of software that I will not be advising for use, you have too many problems under the hood that I haven't even addressed yet.
Finally. Themes that do not burn your retinas out... got any? These bright white and pastel theme is not accessible, lots of people have eye problems and this is not an accessibility friendly coded site, no personal options on choice of background.
This is also not a site that would qualify for the 3 clicks award. Simply put, in any web site, you should be able to find what you want or do what you need within 3 clicks. Take deletion of something, I have counted up to 6 clicks to delete a post, thread and user and also deleting the thread...
