Coloring menu text for tags

I'm wondering if there's a way to color the text links in the left menu associated with tags as the same color assigned to the "dot" for that tag category. I know I could manually add CSS for each link and color, but is there a way to adopt that color setting in the tags settings that is applied to the dot?

I don't think you can achieve something automatic with custom CSS. But it shouldn't be too hard to create an extension that extends that component and applies the color with direct CSS on the text as well as the "dot".
