Dakoom I've seen that for shared hosting we need SSH. Ok, but how is this exactly needed? If I install the latest version of Flarum, what should I do with SSH? Thanks in advance!

Johann If you don't have SSH access on your shared host there is the option for doing all the install/update locally on a virtual machine... And then upload the files and the import database dump! I haven't tried myself but I am sure it can be done.
GOD Doesn't phpBB use Composer? I think the development should look at phpBB (open source) and see exactly how they manage to install things without SSH.
