Remove back button on tags page

What do you think of removing the back button from the tags view? We don't have the back button on the "Following" tab and separate tag pages too, why just on tags view?

Let me know your opinion about this.

I like it.

It makes browsing to other discussions easier without having to go to the homepage. I simply hover and go to the next unread discussion.

That's true inside discussions, but on the tags page, the back button doesn't show that behaviour, it's simply a link back to the previous page.

...and if we have it on the tags page, why not have it on the followings page? By this, I don't want it on the followings page too, I mean, it's useless. This is something like a tab view and it doesn't need back buttons as we make the page we're in currently our main page and it won't have a previous page.

Honestly, I think having a back button is a way to provide expected behavior. There are still plenty of users on the internet who are far more comfortable clicking back than they are understanding that the home page link provides the same functionality. If anything, the back button should have more consistent behavior, going from a discussions listing to a user profile does not generate one, but going from a discussion to a user profile does.

But honestly, this is excellent fodder for extensions.

Look, it's not just the fact that it's pointless, but it's also not appropriate for a system like tabs. Those 3 buttons act like tabs, changing the screens fast and the fact that only the tags page have that back button is meaningless.

I'm going to open a PR on this, in case we agree. If we do, we'll see it removed in the future.

As I mentioned in my post, that's not the case. There are multiple instances where the back button exists within the Flarum UI. For example, clicking on any user profile from within this discussion.

I suppose there's no "back" button on the following page because there's no back button on the discussion list.

The following page is just an extended version of the discussion list / homepage so it doesn't automatically get a back button. I suppose it's just a matter of extending the init method on the following page to register the page as a non-home page in Flarum's history component.
