beta2 to beta4 - not asking for database password

At step 7 from this guide: https://discuss.flarum.org/d/1331-flarum-v0-1-0-beta-3-released it doesn't ask me for database password and it seems that the upgrade is incomplete.

I didn't have this problem when trying to upgrade from beta2 to beta3. Only beta2 to beta4.
Any ideas?

Maybe you could try to compare the difference of the two database, and do some manual change.

I'm wondering if anyone did a successful update from beta2 to beta4. Am I the only person that runs into this problem? After I reproduced the issue about 5 times I gave up and I'm still on Beta2.

jacko Please try upgrading to beta3 first and then, once that's working, from beta3 to beta4.

There seems to be an issue with my particular Flarum beta2 installation that has Polish language installed. I haven't figured a way to upgrade it yet, while upgrading an English only installation of another forum was problem free.

jacko the translation extension might not yet be compatible with the latest method of working (composer). So just disable that extension or remove it completely until you can install it using composer.

luceos I do all of the above plus I set the default language to English before the upgrade.

Instead of the composer create-project ... step, just clone the flarum/flarum repo from GitHub instead and make the change there. Then proceed as noted in the installation instructions, but with a composer install in the cloned directory first.

I had finally time to do this.
Unfortunately accessing brzmienie.info/admin still doesn't ask me for the database password. After that even with correctly set permissions only admins can see the posts after the upgrade performed this way. Also - all extensions are enabled after I access admin panel - they shouldn't be. That's strange.

I am still stuck on beta2. I performed the upgrade dozen of times. It worked on my other site the first time I tried. It doesn't work on this one. The only difference is the Polish language pack which I deactivate and I set the language to English default before doing the upgrade.
