It looks very clean. Nice work.
I believe it is to much shadow (dp) around the cards, icons.

Or is the shadows 2dp like it is at:

DMT Yes, I'm aware. Today I'm going to fix all shadows (decrease).

I'll let you know when I'm done so you can tell me how did I do.

If you like it, I will apply this shdaow to all other elements as I'm aware they are all too much.

Razor It’s completely normal for you to expect more, I started this theme using MDL that is deprecated right now. We’re trying to switch to MDC and we will see the updated components, featuring ripple effects, animation and more motion.

If you think you can help us, I’m always waiting at the extension repo.

Style looks nice overall. But material style is more than just boxes with shadows. Also, font for reply and start a new discussion looks out of place as well as header when u open a discussion. I can't deny that is looking nice but somehow i expected more. More unique features and look. Looking forward for next update.

Razor There are a lot that can be done and turboprogramming just started with this project, it will obviously be cleaner and nicer with time. ?

arda I fixed a localhost and downloaded:
composer require extum/flarum-ext-material

The shadows are still there. MDC? Material Design Center/Component? Do you have a site where they have the component, so I can read and maybe help.

arda Just a quick one and I don't mean to be rude or as if I am singling you out, but please try and avoid posting multiple times one after the other especially when posted just minutes apart. The edit button is a good thing and makes discussions flow better and display better to the reader. ?

Call it a pet peeve of mine but I am finding it straining editing the many posts I see throughout discussions.

I didn't said it won't, just commented on the situation at the moment.
I saw some issues on github and can suggest to use @media in css for displaying content, hovers etc differently on mobile or pc, as well "inspect element" or how it's called on firefox is best friend when making a style. Also, take a look at resources>styles there is other styles created, so maybe u can get some idea how to fix something. I would offer a fix in form of code but i am not at home and do not have acess to pc or laptop.

@media would fix the Mobile Issue however, Mobile Support does take time for sites not made with BootStrap.

From the demo the theme looks great on desktop but very poor UI on mobile.
User card should align to the top, just like default flarum theme and thread content below, ie, on mobile display.

I don't see anything hard in moving the content down and user card up, just like the default.
As it is now, mobile experience is poor.

Chope As I said, and not to be rude in any way, adding Mobile Support for possibly 500 devices on the Market will take awhile for them. If you honestly want it so bad, start helping instead if you arent.

1.0.0 Beta 2 Released

Addition of some missing Material icons.
Extensions page has been completely redesigned based on the guidelines.
Elevation has been decreased based on @DMT's suggestion.
Icon alignment has been fixed at the permissions page.
Removed separator.
The code has been simplified by removing some duplicate lines on every style.
Login button layout bug has been fixed.
Admin/Permissions page bugs are now fixed.
Discussion Reply and Follow button bug is fixed.
Check & Refresh button margin has been fixed.
The issue with style file not loading on the admin page has been fixed.

Information about the next release

Next release will feature a switch from MDL to MDC that will look way more Material with ripple effects, animations and motion.

~~Also, support for Beta 8 using @Kyrne's tool (https://discuss.flarum.org/d/6573-convert-your-beta-7-compatible-extension-to-work-on-beta-8)~~ This will be applied after Beta 8 is released to not prevent Beta 7 users use this extension.

@arda I hope you dont mind I am going to add a bunch of "design" recommendations on GitHub, they are just going to be my two cents about the Material Theme.

Right now I see a lot of unnecessary "drop shadows" on elements that I do not think need them to be in line with the material theme. I won't be offended if you do not agree with them, just my design tips, I know you are nowhere near close to done and they are probably lower on your to-do list.
