I was thinking this: on the majority of online forums sometimes you get into flame because the one who reads cannot fully understand the mood of the written text, so everyone give its own significate to the text written by others. What about if we create a "mood" system for messages? It's a little bit difficult to explain, but maybe someone else can partecipate in this discussion and suggest his own ideas. Maybe some drop down menu that let the user select the "message mood" when needed? It shouldn't be a required thing. What do you think? Maybe it could be implemented changing the bg of the message box or using a label at the top-right with the set mood for the specified message. Post your opinions!

It's an intresting idea.

But i think that it's "cosmetic". It won't solve the wrong interpretation problem. But still cool as an extension.

Cheun I could "literally" interpret this message in billions of ways. Think about someone act this phrase in different ways, just like actors. This could be a topic to discuss about in every forum; so I thought -> why not implement this thing in the core of a forum system in order to make it the "next gen forum system"? This could be revolutionary. Despite that Flarum still miss a fucntional WYSIWYG editor for messages, that is NEEDED for any respected forum software. Anyway, just my two cents.

It could possibly be a feature that you could toggle on or off in the administrator control panel of course, giving the administrator/s the option to have it available on their forums.

I don't think I would use it in all honesty. Any suggestion is a good suggestion in my books though so keep them coming @Dakoom.

Interesting idea, I like it. FB has a mood selection, but I think it could be done better since I think it is somewhat cheesy and not used often.

Perfect idea. I've encountered so many instances where people misinterpret the tone of the post thus end up in a fiery discussion over a trivial matter.

However this should not only be limited to threads though, users should be able to choose their mood in their posts as well.

Something like Facebook's style would work wonders.
