If you are referring to my extension, it will be updated soon enough. It's on my todo, but work takes precedence.
As to how to implement this, it's better to not edit core files. The best way to do is, is with an extension, if you have no idea how to proceed, just have patience for my extension to get ready. It should be out this week.
