move post to another thread

have installed flagrow/split already, but it's only 70% of the solution.

I need a way to move a post / posts to another thread, similar to split, it could even be an upgrade to it.

anything existing? (currently I am doing it manually editing the database, doubt that is a great way).

No, no one has yet written a Merge extension.

from editing the database to make it happen, it seems easy, just editing 2 tables (discussions + posts).
