Preparing for Beta 8.

Hey guys,

I've got a dormant older version of flarum sitting on my host that I abandoned when I read about how much of a re-code that Beta 8 will be.

In preparation for beta 8, should I wipe the older version completely and just wait for 8 to be released? Or am I better off letting it sit there, then upgrade it?

The reason I didn't take the forum into production now was due to a number of extensions that I run, that apparently will stop working when 8 is released. I didn't want to get people used to the forums, then have them break.

Best course of action here?

DeanoAus I'd say, now that there's a group dedicated to updating old, abandoned extensions (see https://discuss.flarum.org/d/16242-friends-of-flarum-the-collaboration-for-maintained-extensions), it's really your choice.

You may want to use beta 7, and stick with it until all extensions you use are updated for beta 8 (or have replacements). Or you may just want to wait until beta 8 comes out and the extensions you want (or need) are updated. However, there's no ETA for either of those things.
