For the majority of my online presence I have been with HostGator. After recently finding out they were owned by Endurance International Group, or EIG for short, I decided to get back on the market to find an alternative. I do not like, support or condone the way EIG do business. I'll leave the politics out of it though and will get on with the post.
When I say recent, I mean it. I am now in the process of jumping ship to a company called Namecheap. I applied last night and am currently paying approximately $2 for the first month in order to test the server out and make sure everything is going as I expect. From a book cover point of view they are perfect, are in no way affiliated with EIG and the live chat support I have received in the early stages are both refreshing and very prompt. I could've been waiting to even get an answer for over 30 minutes with HostGator.
It is only early stages at the moment but first impressions have definitely been amazing. I'll give it a good shot before transitioning everything, including my clients, from HostGator though. Fingers crossed it all goes well!
