Flarum on PHP 7.2

I couldn't find any other topic on this subject, so: what's the story on Flarum on PHP 7.2? I'm no developer myself, so I don't really care about the technicalities. It's just that my host offers the choice between PHP 5.5.x and 7.2.x, none of which are officially supported. Will it not work at all? Is 7.2 support planned for beta 8?

lensco I believe the issues with php 7.2 are already fixed in the dev version and will be available with beta8 ?

Can't find an issue or discussion about it either but it's already been discussed multiple times.

lensco have you tried asking your host if they can offer PHP 5.6 or 7.1 as well? That might be best in the short term. Long term, Beta 8 should resolve this issue for you.

What about Lavarel? Must be maintained too every version due to php compatibility issues.
