How customisable is Flarum's URL structure?

Once Flarum becomes stable, I plan to convert our boards from XenForo and an important part of the process would be to keep the URL structure intact. I've noticed that Flarum follows the following URL structure-

domain.com/d/{post-id}-{post-name} and I wish to know if it'd be possible to have something like -
domain.com/threads/{post-name}.{post_id}/

That would allow us to keep the forum structure intact and not go through the process of 301'ing to the new location.

If this is not possible with current setup; I'd like the developers to consider implementing it as Flarum approaches its stable release.

Hmm, I think I don't want to have to support such a feature, to be honest.

What about an extension that lets you redirect certain URL patterns?

Can't you do this with .htaccess rewrite rules, Franz? Create a rewrite query to take /threads/^.*/.^\d+/. and rewrite it to the current /d/^\d+/(since you don't really need the title there) url?

jordanjay29 It's very easy to "clone" an existing route to a new path match, pointing to the same controller. So Franz yes, I would also say that's the easiest way, let an extension handle this.

Thank you for your responses. Glad to know that this can be achieved; and I'm not bothered how it's done - through an extension, through htaccess or via core. I'd rather have the extension handle this (perhaps I'll develop it one day 😃 ).

Prosperous - I'm only exploring possibilities. I like Flarum a lot better than traditional approach that XenForo has taken. XF is a solid platform and I love it; but it's still holding on to traditional looks.

The 'decision' maker for us would be a WordPress integration option as the developers have mentioned in the 'features list'. We are planning to adopt WP for our website and seamless WP integration would make Flarum a kick-ass forum option for us.
