My developers are telling me that this forum is not totally open source , and there are certain areas where there is no access , and hence it would not be possible for us to customize and add features according to our needs .
i learnt that this platform is open source , so as per my Noob level understanding to programming , what is open source , we can twist and turn and tweak and customize it it inay way that we would want .
so please enlighten me of this situation . are there certain areas of limitation , that would restrict us from designing our own interface , adding our own needed set of features , and powers in the admin panel ?
lets say we would want it to turn it into Vbulletin like feature rich , would that be possible ? or my devlopers are just fooling me ?
