Facebook login warning

When using facebook auth to login this message appears.

You are using a display type of 'page' in a small browser window or popup. For a better user experience, show this dialog with our JavaScript SDK without specifying an explicit display type. The SDK will choose the best display type for each environment. Alternatively, use display type 'popup' if you have special requirements precluding you from using the SDK. This message is only visible to developers of your application.

Also when users want to login with it they get the following error:

App Not Setup: This app is still in development mode, and you don't have access to it. Switch to a registered test user or ask an app admin for permissions.

Make sure that you've went into "Status & Review" and enable the Facebook app (A contact email is required in "Settings".)

SumitJangid Now you have to go into App Review seeings as Facebook changed it around again.

HafeezAtobajaye You need to disabled development mode within your Facebook application.

STEP 1:

First, log into Facebook Developer -> Your App

In Settings -> Basic -> Contact Email. (Give any email)

STEP 2:

Lastly, in the 'App Review' Tab : change

Do you want to make this app and all its live features available to the general public? Yes

And you should be rid of this issue.

AndrewLee only the developer/owner of the Facebook App can switch development mode on and off or add test users. If you don't have that privilege you will have to contact the person who does ?

AbdoElabd if you can't edit the existing Facebook App, create a new one in the Facebook dev console and use that one in your Flarum ?

Hello i have the same problm
i did many solutions but i didn't resolve it
1- i disabled the development mode so my application has been public and small icon green displayed
2- i create other application for test
3- i added users for test with the role test

i use facebook login with firebase and ionic 3
Please help

md2017 what does a Firebase/Ionic app has to do with this ? If you have multiple login prompts for various individual applications you should probably create separate Facebook apps so you don't mix settings.
