SrPeter Hello! Im trying to install flarum on my VPS MySQL: 8.0 Using nginx And composer installed, all of the files are there. Here is the domain: https://forum.pokefriends.club/ And the config block: Thanks for your time!
jordanjay29 SrPeter So you can't even bring up the installation page? Try running composer install in the Flarum folder again. Report any errors you receive in full.
SrPeter jordanjay29 Okey, I did fix it somehow but.... now Im getting this error: "Something went wrong: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2054] The server requested authentication method unknown to the client"
jordanjay29 SrPeter Is this during the composer install, on the Flarum installation page, or on the installed Flarum index? EDIT: Looks like your link goes to the installation page. Can you verify that the details you put in to your SQL server are correct (localhost or the correct IP for a remotely hosted db server)? Username and password are correct?
SrPeter jordanjay29 Hello! Yes I check the username and password, on the mysqlhost im trying localhost, 127.0.0.1, my VPS IP, and my domain, still the same Im actually doing this command on mysql.... GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON db. * TO 'user'@'localhost';
luceos SrPeter GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON db. * TO 'user'@'localhost'; Try this: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON db. * TO 'user'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password; No guarantees though ? You can also set up your MySQL server to use mysql_native_password eg with docker: - image: mysql:latest entrypoint: ['/entrypoint.sh', '--default-authentication-plugin=mysql_native_password'] See source.
