Confirmation email not sending

I dont get an error, just a box saying the email was sent, yes i checked my spam folder
yes i followed http://flarum.org/docs/installation/#configuring-smtp and even tried the gui extension for configuring it
Ive tried multiple emails, multiple encryption/port settings but nothing works

Which email service do you use(Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook etc)?

Local, i am using gmail's smtp
the settings worked perfectly fine on phpbb

Your ISP might be blocking the default SMTP port.

luceos my ISP is blocking 25 but i am using 465 (SSL) and 587 (TLS)

adamweil are you related to @PixelToast? If not I'd ask you to open a thread of your own. These issues are not Flarum related but are related to your hosting environment.

TLDR this is a SMTP issue, not a Flarum issue.
