How to insert advertisements?

I'm planning to use Flarum on one of my pet projects and support it with adsense. I'm wondering if there's a way to insert advertisements at at the top and say after first post?

I see. I'm not looking for an extension. Is there any way we could edit files ourselves and insert advertisements?

You can do it by writing your own extension or changing Flarum files on your own server (not recommended). I don't think anybody would want ads in core Flarum project.

Is your project something you plan to launch in the future?

I ask as it is highly recommended by the staff to not use Flarum for production sites. It is still in beta and things can go wrong even if it's merely upgrading to the next beta release. If you are trialling the software first then that's a different matter, but avoid using Flarum for a live launch at the moment unless you are aware of the backend work involved to resolve any issues that may arise.

First of all - I'm NOT suggesting or asking how to do this through modifications in the core. All I'm asking is if there's a way to do it easily - via an extension. I'm running a trial of Flarum on my hobby site and I am ready to lose all the data if Flarum goes wrong.

TheBigK An extension would be the preferred way to do it, yes. Either you or someone would need to write it, although adsense seems to be a fairly common request for such an extension, so someone is bound to write it at some point.
