HTTP ERROR 500, This page isn’t working

Hello,
I am installing flarum on my VPS Debian 8 (jessie) but it's not working (see the error on the title).

I followed all the procedure of the installation and I have all the requirements.

I have maybe a lead. There was a lot of "yellow" error when I did the installation : http://prntscr.com/ldo0a6 but thats all.

The important message here are not the warnings, but the "killed" at the end pointing to a memory issue. Most likely you are running a VPS with less than 1GB memory. Composer runs best with at least 1GB. You can go around that by setting up a swap though.. There's been talking this on these forums somewhere..

Okey no :C I have 1GB excacly. But I don't think swap is a good idea. Thanks for the answer.

Any reason why? Swap is advised exactly in these circumstances because it allows scripts like composer to work without memory issues.

An alternative would be restarting your server, and then running the composer create-project command as soon as it's back up and running, but eventually you will encounter a time when composer execution will run out of memory again and be killed.

Swap can slow down everything on the VPS. And I don't want that because I have other things running.

Penkie swap prevents running out of memory and web applications or MySQL randomly crashing/stopping without any clear indication why. Don't discard it like that. If you want to go without swap, make sure you have plenty of memory available.
