I need a definitive "how-to" to properly backup Flarum

Hi all,

I'm running a flarum instance that I absolutely need to be extra careful to not lose any content when upgrading.

I finally got it setup the way I want (and need) and I have it populated with loads of info.

I can't risk losing any of the user databse or content, so I'm asking that someone who has been doing this a lot longer than me to please enumerate the right steps in order for us having a way to backup and restore our flarum installations.

Aside from the fact that I wrote a premium extension for the upcoming Flarum beta 8 release to Backup your forum to any remote (or local) location, these are the most important things:

composer.lock and preferably composer.json
your database
assets
sometimes extension might store data inside storage too, it depends on the extensions you use.

The folder structure changes with the upcoming beta 8 release by the way.
