How to get flarum session into my laravel application?

Hello, I need a way to pass a user's session from flarum into my main website, because I need to grab the current username of the authenticated user for a page. Is there anyway I can do this 'easily'? I have flarum installed on the same server and domain as my standalone laravel application. Flarum is just installed in /forums
