Beta 8 - Shared Hosting Install Tip - 500 Error - Vendor Path

I just got Beta 8 installed. It went really fast at first. Honestly, I was shocked when after just a few minutes I was almost done. Then I went to my site and... 500 Server Error. Problem? Due to my shared hosting environment, I needed to change the path to my vendor autoload file. The install instructions are great and explain what to do to update other paths in the index.php and flarum executable files, but the instructions don't mention this path. Probably because it is assumed that the person installing Flarum will be smart enough to realize they need to update this path too. But, I'm not that smart. 😁

The original path in flarum executable file and index.php file is (if I remember correctly):
../vendor/autoload.php

I simply needed to make it:
vendor/autoload.php

Then I got scared when I was seeing language code instead of actual words. But, just remember as the install instructions say, you have to get to your admin and activate the new English extension.

010101 Got that fixed by a developer. Not sure why it's not mentioned in the instructions. We are facing other issue we are still unable to fix tho. There's something more that needs to be changed somewhere. We are following each step, but if they didn't mention "obvious" details like this, a single dot somewhere can cost us one more sleepless night. ☹️

Chris89 What helped me is turning on error logging and looking at the error logs. That's what told me that the path to vendor/autoload.php wasn't right.

Chris89 Shared hosting (and the vendor upload method) isn't technically support so that's why it wasn't in the notes. Glad you got it working though!

Also, from the update notes:

Since the flarum-english extension has been renamed to flarum-lang-english, you'll need to re-enable it from the admin panel.
