Question on Composer and how it is needed

So let's me ask you this. Basically I have another software that use a composer.json file on my server, and.. I didn't install Composer on my server for it. So, how is this possibe?
Also, if the Flarum installer will be released like before where you just needed tho input the db info, email and user, will be Composer needed to be installed? Mhh, I'm pretty confused here. Hope you can give me some help here.

Dakoom you just need to understand composer's function.
I've said many times here, you can just download all the files using composer and upload the files to a server of your choice like you normally do with other projects.

I too was thinking of going down that path but it would just make it too tedious for me to keep up with the updates. I should have a test forum up and running fairly soon on my new VPS.
