Cookie Notice in meta description.

After updating to Beta 8, Google is pulling text from the cookie notice (Cookie Consent Extension) and using it as the meta description, instead of what we have as a forum description. Is there a way to fix that?

I'm not the author of the cookie-consent extension (thanks for not mentioning me, mentioning me on discuss has no use anyway it's muted for me).

user1993 no problem, we'd rather not see deleted message that take a chunk out of the history of a thread. But anyway, it seems there are two, but as ReFlar has a version for beta 8 that seems the most logical to try out.

luceos Yeah, we're using ReFlar's extension. Our forum was indexed very well, until the cookie notice appeared as a meta description. And we can't disable it since GDPR requires it.

Thats why is very important set at least generic metadescriptions, because in the other way Google automaticly grab the metadescription and sometimes do it very poor. Sadly, Flarum don't support that at this stage.

If you can provide your forum URL we can check why Google is getting the wrong content as metadescription. Without URL, request a solution is like request magic.

@user1993 Seems today i found issue on how the community is indexed by Google so maybe the issue is not the cookie consent extension but seems to be a Flarum issue. Maybe this issue has been resolved in two fix for the Beta 8.1 ( i am not sure ) i have fixed my install just some minutes ago.

Now i have to monitor if in the next day the search result will be correct or will stay wrong as is not using the description i inserted in the admin backend.
