Merging user accounts with existing site

Would it be possible for me to automatically create Flarum accounts to mirror existing accounts on my website, and then auto-log the user in when they visit the forum?

Of course, but not with already on board functionality. You could use some auth token system (OAuth) and an extension, that creates the necessary users in the forum for you.

Actually I've noticed Toby implementing support to create/authenticate users from wordpress. You can read up on that here. However I'd like to caution you to assume it will be immediately usable to the wide public, it probably needs some documentation first and it's only available at this point in the dev-master of flarum/core.

Ya, I need this feature badly 🙂 Suppose we already have existing user tables that contains username, can we integrate it? This could be good selling point to Flarum. Or at least is there any step-by-step explanation to do the user login integration?
