Flarum with Apache2

Can I install Flarum on Apache2?
I tried this but on making all with Composer (and grapping the Vendor Files)
I got an 500 Error when i got to the Public-Folder.
Data:

Newest Apach2 for Deb8
Newest Phpmyadmin from the PhPMyAdmin Page
Newst MySQL for Deb8
Downloaded Version of Composer (I don't know the Ver. cause i got it from the Composer Site but i too nooby too don't forget Stuff)

Sockenet It seems that Debian 8 uses MySQL 5.5 by default. You'd need to use a custom repository (it seems Debian 9 also uses 5.5) or upgrade to a Debian derivative like Ubuntu for Flarum to work, as it requires MySQL 5.6 or above.

EDIT: Debian 8 also uses a PHP version less than 7.1. You need to upgrade that too.

We need to get the details on that 500 error. If it's an Apache 500 error, check apache and system log files. If it's a Flarum 500 error, check in <flarum>/storage/logs/ and the PHP log files (might be the same as apache files).

Then post the full error message here 😉

@Sockenet one more thing I forgot: You can switch from MySQL to MariaDB and stay on Debian 8, as at the time of writing, it is at version 10.0.37 (higher than the 10.0.5 requirement). All you'd need to do afterward is install a custom PHP repository (see https://packages.sury.org/php/README.txt)

Sockenet Yup, that is an error with an outdated PHP version. Flarum requires PHP 7.1 or higher.
