Syntax error

Hello,
I am upgrading my site and everything is working so far up to the php flarum migrate command. I am getting the following error.

Deleted [~/public_html]# php flarum migrate

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '?', expecting variable (T_VARIABLE) in /home/Deleted/public_html/vendor/doctrine/dbal/lib/Doctrine/DBAL/Driver/PDOConnection.php on line 24

I did make sure and the server is running php7.2. I verified this with a phpinfo file. I am using siteground as my current hosting provider.

Edit: I get the same result when I type in php flarum info.

Wrong php version. You need 7.1+

So I assume your terminal/cli php version isn't up to date or is linked to an older version.

I changed the version and phpinfo file says php7.1. I ran the php flarum migrate commond and get the same error. Even though phpinfo is saying 7.1 is there a possibility that it isn't actually changing. It wouldn't be a different version through the ssh command line would it?

When you change the php version it puts a .htaccess file with a command to use php7.1.

ChadJessen web and cli are two different things. You'll have to know what binary to use to access the binary of the correct php version.

Run php --version to check the cli version

When I run that command it says it is php 7.0. So I have to either see if they can update that version or make the switch to digital ocean sooner?
