I am currently setting up a forum, and a feature that I been asked for is a "new messages" button, so I set up a Link leading to a search query looking for the "is:unread" messages. The trouble I have, is that ignored discussions show up in the results. I know I can filter the ignored messages with the "is:ignored" query, but is there a way to filter them out? I tried "is:not-ignored", or "not:ignored" and it didn't work (that would have been lucky) so here's my question : what are the search engine syntax words that could solve my problem and offer advance filtering?
I am using FreeFlarum in order to try Flarum and toy with it (I am not a dev) - I have to say, so far, it's fantastic, I love the UI, the philosophy behind it, I enjoy the experience a LOT and it feels smoother than the previous forum system I was using.
Sorry in advance if I have put the wrong tags or if this question has been asked before, I am very new to this, searched a bit but couldn't find the fitting answer. Thanks for your help 🙂
