Verify user registration

G'day,
Getting deeping into flarum makes me more and more happy 😃
Just an option i cannot seem to find is the verify user account.
I would like to option for me as admin to grant access for a users after registration.
The registration should not be open for all. (so perhaps a special keyword in the reg form could also be an option?

Any help appriciated

You can also manually verify new user registrations by editing their profile.

Stefan In your Permissions settings you can create a group for new users (e.g. Under Review) and not let its members start or reply to any discussions. Then assign this group to new users automatically by using the Default Group extension. This will allow you to manually review new users and let them in by changing their group to a group without these restrictions.

jordanjay29 sure, but i would like to block all user activity until i grant access. And since i do not get a notification when someone registers he/she could get access until i block the account 😅

Stefan You can check out Flagrow Linguist if you want to do it yourself, and don't want to write a language pack.

Victor12 You can do this without the Default Group extension, by simply changing those permissions from Members to the specific groups you want, and manually assign those as you suggested.

jordanjay29 Yeah that's what we used to do, but when you get 400+ members, it gets harder to manually assign groups to every new member and we really don't wanna let spammers in.
