Recommended way to send emails

What's the recommended way to send validation emails? I realised that new users are not receiving validation emails after I upgraded to beta8.

Hi Jenxi , i think the only recommendation that regard Flarum is to use SMTP correct parameter.

Regarding your email server should be configured well. For have a good delivery you should have 10/10 of the https://www.mail-tester.com/ test. You have three test every 24 hours if i don't remember bad.

For email deliverability is important to have correct records SPF, DKIM, DMARC and to be not in blacklists.

peopleinside I set it up using gmail since I figured that would be the easiest and most reliable way to do it. Apparently that doesn't seem to be working.

Jenxi Usually from what i know is difficult or not possible configure Gmail for send email from a not Gmail server. You can try to Make your account more secure than generate and use a specific password.

If this still not work i suggest to try a different email provider.

If all else fails, both sendgrid and mailgun provides a free, although limited option. (I use sendgrid).
Sendgrid limits to 100 emails a day, and mailgun limits to 10000 emails a month.

Amazon is at 0.10 USD per 1000 emails, or 60000 emails free, if you host with them.

Maybe you will have to validate flarum access connection on google security (Google will send you an email for that)

If the aim is to maximize deliverability, the best solution is probably Postmark, because they are specialized in transactional email and they have a very good reputation for that
