Tags only can be used by admins

I was wondering if only admin can use the tag feature but the normal user cannot. Yeah I'm being a user is currently using a tag which is just opposite of what I'm asking though

but is it possible that only admins can use the tags and the normal users like me cannot!!

I don't think so, you can limit tags to admins only using the permissions but I don't think you can make a post with absolutely no tags without disabling the tags extension itself, of course then admins can't use tags either.

tankerkiller125 Thats what I'm thinking .Just hoping if there is a way present ,if not .I guess I have what you suggested or what i was thinking

AnoopSharma what you can do is, set minimum tags to be 0 for a discussion. Then go to "permissions" and create permission for each tag to "start a discussion" only by admins.

This way all the users will be given a chance to select a tag but none of them would be selectable. So they'll have to create discussion without tags only. But when an admin starts a discussion then he would be able to select the tag.

In addition you should be able to use some custom CSS to make the tag selection part invisible so not to confuse your users. Admins would have to create tag-less discussions as well, but would be able to add the tags thereafter.
