Override email template and subject

Hi all,

Is it possible to override mentions/src/Notification/NewPostBlueprint (and associated template), mentions/src/Notifications/UserMentionedBlueprint (and associated template) and subscriptions/src/Notification/NewPostBlueprint to control content's template, subject and format (text vs html) ?
Perhaps via extension or something else ?
If you have just a sample how to do, it will be wonderful because for the moment I chnage the source code, but it's not the solution to be compatible with future updates.

I think it could be possible by injecting a different NewPostBluePrint class (and similar) when it's requested.

I don't have any Laravel experience, but looking at the docs it seems that "contextual binding" or "extended bindings" might be suitable:

Some extensions already do that for other purposes, like this one by @Davis:

EDIT: another way to achieve that would be to fork the mentions and subscriptions extensions, actually, so that they can more easiliy adapted

Thanks for your reply, explanations and sample,

I will try this because I think this will be a good new feature to be able to change mail template.

bdumaspilhou yeah... There's also the fact that email messages are sent in plain text without the HTML variant, which for many providers is a guarantee of being marked as spam.

On beta7 I modified the source files in order to translate the templates and provide an HTML version, but I was looking for a better solution before upgrading to beta8 as well.

For this new feature, I want to be able to embed all Flarum css styles in the <style/> tag template.
Do you know how to do this ? How to have the css link ?

I wouldn't really recommend that though. CSS support in email is... delicate, and including the whole CSS file creates other issues with some providers, as dicussed here.
