Freddy Hi Freddy, thanks for your feedback! I can understand how frustrating this must be, but please understand our perspective: At the moment, it could only be dishonest to claim any release date. Unfortunately, this is the nature of open-source projects (actually, software projects in general): it is very hard to do proper estimates, and it always takes twice as long as planned.
Except, of course, if you don't give out a plan. ?
Please trust us when we say we're doing our best to get to a release as quickly as possible. Once beta.5 is out of the door, we've already planned to discuss and finalize the roadmap to the first final version: that entails delaying stuff that is not essential; and making priorities for the last things that we cannot launch without.
That said, we would be very happy about any contributions that you can afford to make. The community is active and large, and there are many places where lots of work is left over: from documentation to forum support to core coding. Whatever you like, we're grateful for any help.
