Flarum forums directory needed

I would create this but I don't have time right now. So, if no one takes this suggestion and runs with it, maybe I'll eventually do it.

There needs to be an old fashioned website directory site which just lists forums, by category, which run Flarum.

There is the showcase category here, but, for example, if someone wants to know if there are any Flarum forums about sports out there, it might be hard to find.

Also, it helps to further promote Flarum by helping to promote all of our Flarums.

Does anyone have the time/money to set this up? Ideally, it needs to be its own site. With its own domain. In other words, not just a sub section of someone's existing site.

There is a site BuiltWith https://trends.builtwith.com/cms/Flarum that index websites and categorize them on the type of the software it uses.

You can categorize them on country, https://trends.builtwith.com/websitelist/Flarum/Netherlands in my case and https://trends.builtwith.com/cms/Flarum/United-States for the U.S. for example.

They do have an API, I am not sure how much that one costs to use. So that could be very handy to automate the process of flarum forums added to the collection for the overview website.

I do not know how accurate it is, but my forum appears in the list.

So creating an collectionwebsite of Flarum websites shouldn't be too hard I think 😃 I like the idea 🙂

We need a place which would list Flarum forums not only by location, but various categories too. Categories such as Health, Sports, Gaming, Technology, etc.

It's easy to do. One could use any CMS, or even use a Flarum installation. The key would be taking the time to organize it very well. And, allow submissions so you don't have to build up the lists by yourself.

I already have a few different websites and I just don't have time for, nor do I feel like, creating another one right now. So, I thought I'd suggest this here for someone else to take on.

But, if many months go by and no one creates a Flarum Forum Directory, then maybe I'll end up doing it.
