My first thought when reading the text was that you were looking for a "welcome" guide for admins that would be part of the software and give on-screen introduction. That would be nice but we don't have that yet.

Or are we talking about money ?

Alkir No, but you could use the Welcome Banner feature already in Flarum (found on the Basics tab in admin), or use this extension.

Both of those should accept plain HTML, you could have a script pull from an external list of tips and display one every time the page is refreshed.

They might be also talking about a custom bbcode that you can wrap around text in a post, then when someone hovers on it, a tooltip pops up.

If I had time I'd do this. Because I could use an existing extension I have which uses custom bbcode. But, I probably won't have time this weekend. Of course, sometimes I say I don't have time then all of the sudden I'm at my computer doing what I said I didn't have time for. So, who knows. This could happen.

Actually, I think he’s looking into it wanting an extension that gives you a tour of the forum like most platforms out there have been implementing for new user introductions.

Alkir off topic, but can you wrap the images in [img] tags if the service allows embed so we can see them right here ? I can almost not find the posted image on those pages with the incredible amount of ads everywhere.

Alkir I like the circular design. That’s an excellent idea for a site tour. I think I could do something like this as a bbcode. Something like [sitetour] added to a post would generate a button and when that button is clicked on, the tour begins. That way people could add a tour to their “instructions” type post. Because typically, forums have a rules or intro sticky post of some kind. 🤔 Plus, it would be an easy way for other members to help out. Any time someone joins and asks something like, “is Flarum stable?,” any member (that knew about the bbcode) could reply simply with [sitetour].
