Version 1.1.6 released!

Added a quicker way to change font colors; just put the name of the color in the bbcode brackets. Colors included: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. For example, [red]This will be red text.[/red].
Added a highlighter. For example, [hl]Look at me, I'm going to be highlighted.[/hl].

010101 Hello! We are so glad to add this extension to our forum.
I want to ask for some help in one point.

When we put any spoiler in a thread, if we click in it, the page scroll up all the way to the start. Is this intended? Sometimes, when the thread is large, this is especially annoying.

Still, thank you very much for developing this extension! ^^

Version 1.2 released!

Fixed regular spoiler. It caused page jumps before.
Added a new blurred type spoiler: [blur]At the end of the movie they live happily ever after![/blur]

See install / update instructions in first post. Remember to deactivate and reactivate the extension if you are updating... that refreshes certain files. And, you may need to empty all kinds of caches and refresh the page to see the new changes. 🙂

I have a new type of error with that blur spoiler. In our forum it seems that when any inserts that bbcode, the box of the writer let any user scroll down/up in that space.

Version 1.2.5 released!

Fixed/changed the blurred spoiler which was part of the previous release. No more countdown, it is now a simple hover/tap to reveal spoiler. With this change, the reported scrollbar issue is fixed.

hi, i try to install this extension in beta10. but it show error as below.

Ooo. He went up a version number and named the release. This must be serious. 👀

I simplified and tweaked multiple bbcode's CSS. This reduced code, probably makes certain bbcode more compatible with old browsers although that's not a goal of mine; this extension is for modern browsers. Also, with the simplification of some CSS comes unnoticeable faster loading times. 😉
BREAKING CHANGE: I removed the "animals" bbcode. I doubt anyone used them, they were pointless. I only added them at one point to play around with pure CSS graphics. If you did use the three cartoon animal graphics here and there at your forum, sorry. It was extra code bloat; they had to go! And, if anyone used them, you will now see a message in place of the animal(s) reminding you that the animal bbcode is no longer supported.

The spoiler BBcode worked for me on desktop while testing but it is not working on my iPhone. Back to the drawing board. I’m sure I’ll come up with a fix soon.

Fixed the [spoiler]. It now uses the standard HTML5 <details> and <summary> tags. Which is a standard way to create a show/hide type area without added CSS or JavaScript since HTML5 was released. But, it doesn't work in IE or Edge (yet). Therefore...
Added <details> polyfill JavaScript so that the <details> tag will work in IE/Edge. I went 8 months without adding any JavaScript to this extension but I finally broke just for IE/Edge users and this spoiler bbcode. If Edge starts supporting <details> I may remove the JavaScript.

Fixed the audio bbcode (it's now responsive and it's compatible with my SM2 audio extension). You now have no excuse to not have audio within your Flarums because there's this extension, or my stand-alone audio bbcode extension, or SM2 (search this forum for the others).

Thanks for the suggestion by @AmauryPi, the [spoiler] no longer requires a title. If you omit a title, it defaults to Read More. I ultimately decided on “Read More” for the default text because I think it makes it more useful and sounds better than it just stating “Spoiler” or something is else.

But, if you don’t want your spoiler title to be Read More, that’s fine, just give it a title like it shows in the first post of this thread. ✌️

nitaaikumar Yes. Most of what I read advises against trying to hide parts of your page from search engines. Like this:

I’m sure there are hacks. But, I find it is best to not trick search engines.

any code does not work on my fllarum. I have tried blur and tooltip but they dont work. I cant see tooltip or blur word in content but feature of bbbbcode tag's does not seems.

nginx error file ( there is error because flarum is installed in domain.com/tr/ but bbbbcode's files gets from domain.com):

public_html/assets/extensions/zerosonesfun-bbbbcode/styles.css" failed (2: No such file or directory),
public_html/assets/extensions/zerosonesfun-bbbbcode/index.js" failed (2: No such file or directory)

fakruzaruret I think someone else had this problem or something similar, but then they solved that problem. I'm not sure what they did. Maybe try removing the extension and then re-add it?

Your Flarum installation should have an assets folder in your public directory. Some extensions, like this one, will add files there upon activation within an extensions folder (as you can see from that error message). It should not matter that your Flarum is installed in a subdirectory.

As a first troubleshooting step, go to your public folder and make sure you do have an assets folder. If you don't then there is possibly something wrong with your installation.
